Raise a Hallelujah has become my new mantra, and is the theme for our upcoming mission trip to Haiti in 2020, not just because of the catchy tune, or the battle like tempo, but because the words ring so true in my ears. “I raise a hallelujah, in the presence of my enemies. I raise a hallelujah, louder than the unbelief. I raise a hallelujah, my weapon is a melody. I raise a hallelujah, heaven comes to fight for me.” I truly believe that and I believe that our heavenly father inhabits our praises. I want to live with God inhabiting my praises. I want Him so close I can touch Him.
Well tonight I raise a hallelujah as I sit at my computer with tears in my eyes because I am so incredibly thankful. I am thankful for a heavenly Father that loves us so much that our praises cause Him to fight for us; I am thankful that He finds a way where there seems to be no way; that He goes into battle before us and knocks down any wall of the enemy and I am thankful that we do not do battle alone. We battle together.
Tonight, my friends, I raise a hallelujah and shout with joy because together we have completely funded our sewing school in Haiti. This time next week construction can begin on a school that will forever change the lives of young women in the small town of Montrious. This time next week Madam Titus and Pastor Simeon Brunet can begin to watch as their lifelong dream of owning a school for young girls where they will learn a valuable skill that will change their lives becomes a reality. This time next week they will be more than a cook and a pastor, they will be the owners of a school that will change the face of their community.
Project number 14 – Check. Now, let’s stock that school, fill that pantry, plant some trees, and change some lives.
