Our amazing Kaftan is crafted with recycled cotton sari fabrics and finished with a Kantha stitch. It is reversible and the perfect weight for any time of year. It's amazingly soft, comfortable and will be our go to for a fun pop of color!
Kantha is an ancient form of hand-stitch embroidery originating in India. Rural women used the simple running embroidery stitch to hold recycled cloth layers together using threads from old saris and stitching techniques passed down from mother to daughter.
Handcrafted in Rajasthan, India, the land of maharajas, medieval forts, and palaces. The intensity and spectrum of color and design is impossible to ignore. Our artisan partner has been a Fair-Trade member for over 30 years.
