Tanzania features scenery such as Lake Victoria, Mt. Kilimanjaro, and the Serengeti. Farmland and animals are plentiful, but while Tanzania exports luxuries such as gold, coffee, and cashews, many of the people there live in extreme poverty. This tiny country has more than 3 million orphans, including children living on the street and in garbage dumps. It was an easy choice to partner with ICM on an orphanage in Nanja, Tanzania. The church there was established in 1985 by Pastor Joseph Magilani. As with many of the villages in the area, with a population of 180,000, the orphans outnumber the church members dramatically, but that does not stop them from caring for and supporting these lost children of their community. Fish Company was blessed to fund a 50 bed orphanage for the church in Nanja, Tanzania.
