Fish Company has made the jump to Central America. Guatemala is sandwiched between Mexico and Honduras and is a country filled with breathtaking mountain regions, fertile jungles and beautiful ancient ruins. It is also a country still reaping the effects of bloody civil wars, corruption and extreme poverty. There are more than 370,000 orphans in Guatemala and the malnutrition rate for children under 5 is 50%. Yes, 1 in 2 children in Guatemala is malnourished, and 70% of the people there live below the poverty level. These are staggering statistics and in the face we had to become part of the solution. Our Hope Center in Smirna, Guatemala, is located near the city of Champerico. Please join us as we pray for Pastor William Davila, his church body and the local orphans who will benefit from this Orphanage/Center of Hope. This orphanage has a standing need for shoes and vitamins for the children who live there, as well as for the kids from the surrounding community.
